David has over 14 years of experience in hydrogeology, both in fieldwork and office-based studies. He specialises in conceptual and numerical aquifer modelling, hydrochemistry, environmental isotopes, and hydrogeological studies related to the exploration and exploitation of lithium-enriched brines. He began his career in soil and water decontamination research at the University of Oviedo in northern Spain, later moving to Chile to work with SQM Salar, before joining Ausenco as a senior hydrogeologist.
Since 2016, David has focused on hydrogeological consulting, carrying out aquifer modelling projects for mining companies and public agencies, along with targeted hydrochemical and isotope studies across Argentina and Chile.
He holds a degree in mining engineering from the University of Oviedo and a master’s in underground hydrogeology from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Spain. He is currently pursuing a second master's degree in hydrology and water resource management through a joint program offered by the University of Alcalá de Henares and Rey Juan Carlos University.
